"ACT instructors prepared us for our first real audition. After 2 months, that time was here. I don’t think I can really describe how exciting that was. I was going to meet an agent, a real live agent whose job is to find film and or TV work for his clients in Hollywood, CA. Yes, the same Hollywood where the stars are and movies are made. The excitement was overwhelming. When I heard my name called to go in, I thought my stomach was going to explode, but I introduced myself, did my prepared monologue and that was it. Thanks to my ACT instructors, class work, and training, I actually got a call back. That first incredible audition led to many more auditions all thanks to ACT. I have traveled to Los Angeles, auditioned for film roles and TV pilots, booked a commercial, booked a radio ad, and I star in a webisode."

"Every morning when my Mom wakes me up I ask her if it's time to go to acting school.  If she says "Yes", I spring out of bed, and I'm out the door in no time and off to the city.  I can't wait to see my teachers so that I can show them what I practiced since the last time that I saw them.  My teachers are all so nice and wonderful.  They teach me how to perform in front of the camera, to develop improv skills, to get into character, and to not just memorize my lines but to act them.  I love watching myself on camera and making my new friends smile.  I got to meet an agent and a manager too!  It was so much fun getting in front of them and performing the monologue that I learned.  I've learned so much in such a short period of time.  I'm thrilled to see what will happen next!"

"I love going to ACT. I love going to ACT for many reasons. One of which is because it is fun! When I come to ACT I see so many smiles and excitement, and it’s a place where I don’t have to be afraid to be myself. We always start off with a warm-up where we can all express who we really are. Sometimes we dance, sometimes we play an improv. game, other times we all just stand up and do something funny. We always learn to be confident in ourselves and to keep trying no matter what."

"The characters I’ve played in scripts have also contributed in changing who I am today. I’ve had to play a new person each day and it has showed me all the different people I can actually be and it was extremely fun just playing around with my voice, posture, and hand gestures. It has showed me to pass my boundaries, and that its okay to some times change who you are to actually discover who you like being. In order for people to get something they like, they have to search for it first. So just like any other shirt you’re looking or the jeans you saw online that you’re looking for, you should take the time to look deep inside yourself and find who you are. The best way for me to find who I am and who I like being, is to play the role of completely different characters and find which one I am the most comfortable. It might take a while and it might not be easy, but in the end its worth all of it. All in all, I’d like to thank ACT in advance to make me realize who I truly am and to finally let me break out of that “shell” I was in before. No longer am I a boring person with low self-esteem. I’m now a spontaneous, interesting person with the confidence I need to get me through the day. I’ve learned that if you don’t believe in yourself, you can’t expect for anyone else to believe in you either."
